By the time my granddaughter was 2 she had Christmas figured out. Once she identified which pile of wrapped presents were for her she could not wait to tear the wrapping paper off them. She went from one to another and on to the next. She spent little or no time actually looking what was in the wrapping. She just like tearing wrapping paper off.
We do that with moments of time. We are not even finished this moment and we are thinking about the next one. The problem is if you are never in the moment you are missing out on the gifts imbedded in that moment. Life can only be experienced in the moment but we miss out so often because we are always somewhere else.
